people in the framework of the project &#8220;Social Service Delivery&#8221; supported by the European Union in Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research and ASB Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the framework of the project, the following activities were carried out:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Social support at the home of 20 elderly people in need of the city of Vynnyky<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Launching and organizing activities in the Club for the elderly people in the city of Vynnyky<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Providing services to the elderly homeless people at the Kofoed&#8217;s social support center.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During the project implementation, the Oselya&#8217;s employees carried out 970 home visits to the elderly and provided services on cleaning, washing, food delivery, grocery and household shopping, doing haircuts, doctor&#8217;s appointments, social consultations, as well as providing material assistance: clothing, footwear, bedding, adult diapers, books, furniture or other household items.\u00a0In the Club for the Elderly people, 18 events were held: Andrew day party, St. Nicholas, Mother&#8217;s Day, Happiness Day, cinema club, dance workshops, costume therapy, meetings with interesting people, trips to the theater and the concert, a pilgrimage to Unive and other. We also provided day care service for the elderly people at that Kofoed&#8217;s social support center.\u00a0As part of the project, 228 elderly people received basic life-support services and social counseling. Vynnyky city council, volunteers of NGO &#8220;Vynnyky Golden Youth&#8221;, and\u00a0 &#8220;Food Bank&#8221; joined the project.\u00a0The Henry Nouwen Foundation also joined and financed the purchase of grocery sets and detergents, household goods, birthday gifts, travels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We thank our friends and volunteers who helped to organize events at the Club for the elderly people: &#8220;Vynnykivchany&#8221; ensemble, the Vynnyky People&#8217;s House, the students of the Vynnyky boarding school, Parish of\u00a0 Chyshky village, the champions of Ukraine in sport ballroom dance Olha Balturnas and Vasyl Porokhovsky, folk group &#8220;Marvinok&#8221;, Lviv photographer Mykola Tynkalyuk, Natalya Lahan, NGO &#8220;Vynnyky Golden Youth&#8221; and Theater Studio of NGO &#8220;Vynnyky golden youth&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017, Oselya worked with elderly people in the framework of the project &#8220;Social Service Delivery&#8221; supported by the European Union in Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research and ASB Georgia.
